Visitor Preparation Information
At Kawpesawkawstake, we are faced with a dilemma.
All the folks coming to visit and spend time here are dear friends and family --- and we love to house, feed, visit with you and care for you all.
Since our strong desire is to continue to invite and encourage even more to come, the sheer number of people coming to our home combined with both of us working full time requires us to approach visits in a somewhat different manner so that we too can feel full and replenished from the visits.
The following work in progress is to assist visitors to prepare and to have a sense of any expectations or understandings in place while being here.
The contents of this sheet are the result of what is needed in order to keep our personal balance and input of visitors who have come and gone in an effort to better serve all those yet to come as the vision of the place reveals itself.

Visitors Information Sheet
Intention
Identify a personal intention or desired outcome (what you want for yourself out of being here) before arrival
General Guidelines
- be respectful of the space and people
- important not to take over space with "stuff", clothes, loud voice, etc.
- identify your own gifts and abilities that might be of use
- even though our home is place of joy and laughter we ask that is also be held as a peaceful and sacred place
Camping Season
- come self-sufficient if at all possible
- camping information
Household
- when leaving
- clean up room
- make bed for next person
- prepare a meal (includes shopping, ordering out, etc, )
- participate in setting table, meal clean-up
Possible contributions if appropriate
- find a need and fill it
- fetch, split, or stack wood
- shovel snow
- mow lawn
- clean house
- make a donation to the vision for those to come
