Vision

Kawpesawkawstake or the place of "new possibilities, new dawn, new beginnings, see future, I can see, see self, born again, lives in shadow and comes clear, and clear" is evolving.

The vision of this place has been in our hearts since the early 1990's (see Background). It began to show itself as we walked the road that has led us to Terrace, BC. It is continuing to beome visible as more and more visitors come and spend time on the land, winter like summer. Here are some the elements of the vision that have revealed themselves:

• it is a place where one comes to listen to the old ones and the elders that have passed on
  • it is clearly deliniated by the flags and tobacco marking the directions
  • we can acknowledge in particular "the grandmothers" that embrace all who spend time here
• it is a place where one can rekindle one's vision or make a step toward discovering it to return home with a stronger light and sense of service
• it is a vision that is manifesting and will continue to manifest with the help of many (see Supporters)
• there are no requirements or expectations for those visiting other than supporting the vision so that others may come
• the journey of the vision and healing or comfort brought to visitors is strewn with miracles
• it is necessary to be willing to live with great openness and a willingness to be outside of one's comfort zone for a while. Life has a way of providing those opportunities on its own, that is not the responsibility of Kawpesawkastake.
• all visitors need to define the purpose or objective of their visit before arrival
• an underlining theme of the vision is the sacredness of life, land, and home
